MARCH 25, 2009
On March 25, 2009 Murray Schwartz was the Program Chair and participated in a panel discussion on various issues related to employment discrimination. The conference, entitled, "Employment Discrimination: A Critical Look at Key Issues from Both Sides," was sponsored by the New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA) and created by Mr. Schwartz. Six experienced employment law attorneys from both the management and plaintiffs’ employment law bars imparted their knowledge, proven strategies and practical guidance on key issues arising in the rapidly changing and broadening field of employment law to more than 40 attendees.
The program was designed to provide the audience with meaningful and pertinent employment law information by having an experienced moderator present questions to the panel on a wide variety of employment law topics.
Panelists were asked a series of questions related to sexual harassment, reductions in force, disability discrimination, age discrimination, retaliation, arbitration agreements. Michael Young, Esq., a full-time neutral at JAMS, moderated the discussion.
