MURRAY SCHWARTZ SPEAKS AT HR/NY CONFERENCE ON SEXUAL ORIENTATION IN THE WORKPLACE

On March 19, 2009, Murray Schwartz once again participated in a conference sponsored by The Human Resources Association of New York (HR/NY). The topic discussed during the conference was, "Sexual Orientation: Unique Issues in Diversity and Inclusion." Topics covered by Mr. Schwartz during the conference included background and trends in sexual orientation discrimination, accommodating employees who are transitioning from one gender to another and employees with a religious objection to other employees because of their sexual orientation. The audience included approximately 30 well-versed members of the human resource community in New York.
The HR/NY is the premier membership organization representing professional human resources practitioners, educators and service providers, at all levels in their organizations, who work or live in New York City. The HR/NY was the first affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and is one of the largest SHRM chapters in the country. The goal of the HR/NY is to position human resources professionals as an integral part of the strategic management process to enhance organizational performance.
