On February 12, 2007, The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law's Labor & Employment Society honored Murray Schwartz in an event called "Lunch with a Legend," a fitting title for a Managing Partner with decades of experience.
Approximately thirty students attended the luncheon to gain insight from Mr. Schwartz as he delivered his thoughts on employment law and employment litigation. Mr. Schwartz shared anecdotes from his years of practice and also explained recent trends in discrimination that continue to fuel his passion in this area of law. He also discussed his strong views on the enrichment that can be earned through a legal career in the exciting field of employment law.

Employment Lawyer, Murray Schwartz of Schwartz Perry & Heller LLP Looks Back on His 58 Years in Litigation

Mr. Schwartz is the Managing Partner of Schwartz Perry & Heller LLP, one of New York City's leading and preeminent employment law firms. For the past twenty years, Mr. Schwartz has been directing and focusing the firm almost exclusively toward representing victims of employment discrimination, including sexual harassment, gender, age, race and disability discrimination. Mr. Schwartz has been involved in a number of first-impression employment discrimination cases, has published numerous articles and presented countless lectures at conferences throughout the United States. He has also appeared on Fox TV and Larry King Live to provide comments in the field of employment law. Mr. Schwartz maintains an active practice in both state and federal court and recently secured a favorable jury verdict in a prominent age discrimination and retaliation case. Mr. Schwartz is a great supporter of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and regularly provides students with internship experiences throughout the academic year and Summer through the Schwartz Perry & Heller legal internship program.
