On December 6, 2008, Murray Schwartz, Brian Heller and Matthew Schatz once again participated in a lecture entitled, "The Basics of an Employment Law Practice: Tips & Strategies from 59 Years of Practice" for a "Bridge the Gap" series sponsored by the Marino Institute for Continuing Legal Education (MICLE). Topics covered included the investigation and evaluation process, considering the strength of the employer’s position in evaluation your claim, retainer agreements and other fee arrangements and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
"Bridge the Gap" continuing legal education (CLE) weekends sponsored by MICLE are an opportunity for newly admitted attorneys and law school graduates to satisfy their first- or second-year of mandatory CLE credits. The program provides an opportunity for newly admitted attorneys to learn the basics from the best of New York’s leading practitioners, judges and scholars.
