Daniel H. Kovel
Daniel H. Kovel is an associate at Schwartz Perry & Heller, LLP. Prior to joining the
firm in 2017, Mr. Kovel was an Attorney with The Legal Aid Society of
New York, where he represented low income New Yorkers and their families
in wide-ranging civil litigation matters, including wage and hour and
overtime claims under New York State and Federal Law, and then primarily
represented Mitchell-Lama and HDFC residential cooperative boards of directors
at a boutique law firm in New York City.
Mr. Kovel received his B.A. from the University of Michigan – Ann
Arbor in 2008 and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law
in 2011. During law school, Mr. Kovel was an Associate Editor of the Cardozo
Public Law, Policy and Ethics Journal, worked as a clinician with the
Cardozo Labor and Employment Law Clinic, and interned with the Labor Bureau
of the Office of New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. Mr. Kovel
is admitted to practice in New York.
